Swansea City denies reports of the Premier League club making a bid for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini but admit to showing an interest. Reports suggest the team from South Wales we’re weighing up around a £14 million bid in an attempt to bring in the forward. (South Wales Evening Post)


The Swans are also rumoured to be eyeing a loan move for Chelsea player Islam Feruz. Manager Alan Curtis is looking to strengthen the team’s attacking with Jonjo Shelvey rumoured to be leaving the Liberty Stadium. Bournemouth and Derby County have shown their interests to bring in the Premier League youngster. (Squawka)


Cardiff City are believed to be targeting a foreign player currently at a fellow Championship club. It could be a replacement to Kenwyne Jones after the Trinidad and Tobago international signed for Al Jazira as Federico Macheda and Alex Revell may be saying goodbye to the Bluebirds. The Bluebirds have told Everton that David Marshall will cost the Premier League club, at least, £10 million. The Scottish goalkeeper only cost Cardiff £500,000 in January 2009. (The Mirror)


Newport County have confirmed the loan signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Connor Dymond. The loan deal will keep the youngster at the League Two club until February 13. Dymond will be available for Newport’s FA Cup third round clash against Blackburn Rovers. (South Wales Argus)
