PREDICTIONS: Everton v Man City

Updated: January 6, 2016

Everton host Manchester City on Wednesday night for the first leg of the Capital One Cup semi-finals.

Let’s Talk Sport has grabbed an Everton fan and a Man City supporter to gather their predictions ahead of the big showdown at Goodison Park.

Here’s what they had to say…

Joe Hancock (Everton fan)

Everton 1 – 1 Manchester City

Could definitely see it being a draw with no one wanting to lose the first leg.
Both teams are proper inconsistent at the moment. Hoping Everton are confident after the decent performance against Tottenham Hotspur in the second half. Hope Besic gets a start, he looked class when he came on.
Tim Howard is not in goal from what I’m hearing so that gives me a little confidence, could maybe nick a tight win if we’re lucky.

Oliver Gibbens (Manchester City fan)

Everton 2 – 1 Manchester City

I’m going for a 2-1 win for Everton and my reason being that city are dodgy at the back without Kompany also not playing amazing recently, while Everton are in the bottom half they play some good stuff and there will be a great atmosphere at Goodson and it will be like having a 12th man so the Everton players are going to be really up for it. Can see city sneaking a goal but no more, praying for a city win though.
